Two months into his role as BYD Australia's chief operating officer, Stephen Collins isn't interested in making grandiose predictions about market domination. Instead, the experienced automotive executive is focused on a more immediate challenge: building sustainable automotive operations at startup speed.

"I'm not going to make claims about a number," Collins told TheAutoExec when quizzed about BYD's ambitious public targets. "I think the number at the end of it is just the result of doing everything well at the end of the day."
