Give the BYD Atto 3 something to ponder!
That’s the challenge BYD’s competitor Chinese brand Chery has presented with its upcoming Omoda E5 electric compact SUV.
Available for purchase from July, the Omoda E5 will mark Chery’s introduction of its first battery electric model in Australia since its launch in early 2023.
No pricing information has been disclosed for the Omoda E5 yet, but Chery Australia head Lucas Harris has made it clear that the Atto 3 is in their sights.
“Definitely, our goal is to give them a tough competition,” he mentioned about the Atto 3.
“We will price it competitively to secure more than our fair share of sales.”
Brands mentioned: BYD, Chery, Tesla, MG, Hyundai, Subaru.
