The 2025 BMW 540d xDrive, a diesel-powered 5 Series sedan, is set to arrive in Australian showrooms in the fourth quarter for $134,900 before on-road costs. It replaces the outgoing 530d and comes with a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline six-cylinder engine, 48-volt mild-hybrid system, xDrive all-wheel drive, and a host of standard features including a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
