AutoExec Summary
Tesla reported a year-on-year decrease in sales for the second quarter of 2024, delivering 443,956 electric vehicles globally. This marks the second consecutive quarter of decline, with a total of 830,766 deliveries in the first half of the year, down 6.6% compared to the same period in 2023. Despite the drop in sales, Tesla’s second quarter results exceeded expert estimates, leading to a rise in its shares. The company has been implementing aggressive price cuts in various markets, including Australia, where the price of the Model Y SUV and Model 3 sedan has been reduced. Sales in Australia saw a 9.6% decrease in the first half of 2024 compared to the previous year.
