AutoExec Summary
Genesis’ first Magma, the GV60, will start production in the third quarter of 2025 for an international launch before the end of next year. Genesis has confirmed Magma versions for all its production vehicles, with plans for the performance sub-brand to compete with BMW M, Mercedes-AMG, and Audi Sport. The Magma GV60 is expected to be one of the few premium, all-electric performance SUVs in Australia, alongside the Audi SQ8 e-tron, Porsche Macan EV, and Mercedes-AMG EQE 53. The model will feature improved battery and electric motor technology, a lower center of gravity, and a dynamic stance. It will have a more aggressive look, 21-inch wheels, and a reworked body. Inside, passengers will find orange-coloured bucket seats, and a bespoke display system for the driver. Powertrain and performance figures are yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be comparable to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. The Genesis Magma GV60 concept earned a podium spot at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with plans for further enhancements before production.
Brands mentioned: Genesis, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Audi, Hyundai, Audi, Porsche.
