AutoExec Summary
Porsche is set to introduce an all-new electric Cayenne in the middle of the decade, based on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. The current Cayenne model, which includes petrol and plug-in hybrid options, will continue to be sold alongside the electric version “up to and beyond 2030”. Porsche also plans to introduce a new flagship electric model slotted above the Cayenne around 2028, targeting the US and Chinese markets. The transition to electric vehicles is taking longer than expected, and Porsche’s “double strategy” of offering both internal combustion and electric models is more important than ever.
