Toyota has announced the discontinuation of the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series V8 and ceased taking orders for the iconic off-roader. Production of V8-powered 70 Series models will end in September 2024, except for 79 Series GXL single- and double-cab utes. The 2024 Toyota LandCruiser 76 GXL Wagon, with a V8 diesel and five-speed manual, is heading towards retirement by year’s end. The 70 Series will continue with a reworked version of the 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel.
