Women more likely to drive politely than men, survey says

A recent survey by insurance giant Youi found that female motorists in Australia are more likely to display kindness and courtesy to other road users compared to men. The survey, which formed the “Australian Unofficial Driving Etiquette Act,” revealed that women were more likely to engage in polite driving behaviours in four out of five categories. The largest difference was seen in how often drivers thank other motorists with a wave, with 66 per cent of women doing it every time compared to 54 per cent of men. Men were also less likely to zipper merge and more likely to cut into lanes in a traffic jam.
