AutoExec Summary
Subaru Motorsports USA has unveiled Project Midnight, a WRX-based car designed for speed and performance. Weighing under 1120kg with a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine producing 500kW and 922Nm, it features bespoke suspension, 18-inch wheels, and Yokohama Advan slick tires. Former F1 driver Scott Speed will drive it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, aiming to beat the Airslayer’s 46-second time up the hillclimb. However, there are no plans for a production version, as Subaru has shifted away from developing combustion-powered vehicles after the WRX STI’s discontinuation.

Brands mentioned: Subaru, OZ Racing, Yokohama.
