Climate extremists cancel Tesla’s big EV

Climate change protesters targeted Tesla’s Cybertruck in Germany, pouring orange paint over the vehicle and displaying a banner reading “Gepanzert in die katastrophe” (“armoured in the catastrophe”). The German protest group Letzte Generation criticised the Cybertruck’s weight and design, arguing that it represents excessive energy consumption and safety risks. This protest coincides with broader tensions between Tesla and its opponents in Germany, following an earlier attempt by the Disrupt Tesla group to storm Tesla’s Grünheide factory. Similar protests against electric pickups have occurred, including an incident involving the Ford F-150 Lightning in New York.
