Australian Ford Falcon factory to become a data centre
Executive Summary
Summary: Ford’s historic Broadmeadows manufacturing plant in Victoria will be redeveloped into a data centre by Singapore-based Zerra DC. The site, which produced Ford Falcons and other vehicles for over 90 years until 2016, will feature a six-building data centre campus with office space. Ford retains portions of the original 45-hectare site for its Asia Pacific Product Development Centre and engineering operations. The proposed development follows similar conversions of former Australian automotive facilities into data centres.
