AutoExec Summary
A team of British engineers is working on a project to transform the iconic Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 into a super lightweight carbon-fibre supercar. Known as ‘Vision 148’, the project will revive RS500 number 148 with a carbon-fibre body and a custom powertrain by Cosworth. Dubbed the Carbon Piranha, the car will weigh less than 1000kg, 210kg lighter than the original. The powertrain details are unknown, but it is expected to enhance the original 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The Autovision Club is funding the project through an exclusive subscription program, offering members insider access to the build. No completion date or performance estimates have been announced.

Brands mentioned: Ford, Cosworth
