AutoExec Summary

I always liked the Ford Escape, so when my 2019 Ford Focus ST-Line was written off, I upgraded in December 2022. The added height boosted my confidence after my accident. The Escape drives smoothly like my Focus but with more power. Friends are surprised by how quick it is, keeping up with cars like the XR6. I added the $2K ST-Line pack for features like HUD, power boot, and adaptive LED headlights. Fuel efficiency is impressive: nearly 1000km per tank on the highway and 650km around town. After 10,000km, it averages 7.5L/100km. I wish it had part leather seats and a sunroof, but I don’t miss the noise my Focus’s sunroof made. With these cars no longer available in Australia, I’m glad I own one. The $299 locked-in service deal with a loan car and seven years’ roadside assistance is a bonus.

Brands mentioned: Ford, XR6, CX-5, RAV-4, Puma
