AutoExec Summary
Italian supercar giant Ferrari has opened a new ‘e-building’ production facility in Maranello, Italy, at a cost of €200 million. The 42,500 square-metre factory will be home to Ferrari’s first electric car, due in early 2026, as well as internal combustion and hybrid vehicles. CEO Benedetto Vigna emphasized that the new factory is not intended to increase production capacity, but rather to focus on personalization and quality over quantity. The facility is part of Ferrari’s commitment to carbon neutrality, with 9000 solar panels and a multi-energy product strategy. The company will design and build most components of its first electric car in-house.
