AutoExec Summary

Toyota Australia will stop selling the LandCruiser 70 Series V8 from 2025. Due to emissions concerns, larger engines are being phased out for eco-friendly alternatives. Currently, five V8 off-road SUVs are available, excluding the LandCruiser. Among these, only one has a diesel V8 engine. The LandCruiser 70 Series had a 4.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine, a five-speed manual transmission, and a 3500kg braked towing capacity. Toyota offered it in three styles: Troop Carrier, wagon, and cab-chassis ute. Alternative V8 off-roaders include the Chevrolet Silverado, Land Rover Defender, Ram 1500, Nissan Patrol, and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Other luxury V8 SUVs and powerful six-cylinder off-road alternatives are also mentioned.

Brands mentioned: Toyota, Chevrolet, Land Rover, Ram, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Range Rover, Porsche, Lexus, Ineos, Ford
