AutoExec Summary
Toyota Australia has issued a recall for certain models of the HiLux Rogue due to a potential issue with the power-operated roller cover. Approximately 14,032 vehicles in Australia, built between May 2020 and November 2023, are affected. The roller cover in these vehicles may continue to operate when jammed, leading to overheating of the motor. Toyota dealers will inspect the roller-cover motor, replace it if needed, adjust the roller-cover track width, and install updated ECU software. This software will address issues with limit switches and motor overheating, allowing the roller-cover to be operated with the key fob or door switch panel. The recall process is expected to take around 2.5 hours to complete. Contact Toyota Australia for more information.
