Another affordable EV set to land in Australia: SsangYong Torres EVX here late 2024

SsangYong Australia will launch the all-new Torres SUV in July, with the electric EVX model arriving in late 2024. The rugged Torres EVX will compete with affordable small SUVs like the BYD Atto 3, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Peugeot e-2008. It features a BYD-sourced 73.4kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery, offering a range of around 500km and a starting price of approximately $50,000. The front-mounted electric motor delivers 150kW and 339Nm of torque, achieving 0-100km/h in about 8.1 seconds. The spacious SUV boasts up to 839 litres of cargo space and high levels of standard equipment.
