Tesla has finally confirmed the production of its long-promised “Standard” Model 3, with a starting price of $US35,000 ($49,300). The first examples are expected to reach US customers in the next two to four weeks. The standard vehicle features cloth upholstery and a basic version of the car’s navigation and audio technology. Buyers can also upgrade to the Standard Range Plus version for an extra 32km of range and a faster sprint time for an additional $US2000 ($2800).
